Fern inherited a nice straight back and rump from her mother, has good wide thurls and lovely soft udder texture which is very consistent in Gambler’s daughters. Her udder structure and production leaves a lot to be desired but her rump is her strongest characteristic, scoring a 90 in 2026 classification. So, I will continue to roll the dice and see what progeny I can get out of her to continue to improve rump and loin strength in my herd, while also hoping to improve udder structure and production.
